It's been a crazy hectic couple of weeks but we're finally starting to find some calm again! Many many thanks to all of you who were with us last saturday either physically or in thought.. thank you for your love and friendship.. we hope you all had as much a blast as we did!

Things are starting to fall into place.. Mary got her resident/work permit two days ago and thanks to your many generous gifts she will now get started with her french classes again..

You're all welcome for a small opening on Tuesday 4th September around 7pm.

Otherwise you can still come in anytime, tuesday thru saturday, from 10am to 7pm. Massimo is extremely nice and he may even suggest a haircut!

Wanted: Vélib beta testeurs!

Un post en français.. une fois n'est pas coutume..

Sur une idée lumineuse de mon ami Vinz Callaghan, je me suis amusé à développer cette petite appli "Vélib" à installer sur votre téléphone mobile, pour gérer vos stations préférées et interroger de n'importe où le nombre de vélos et de places disponibles...

Pour ce faire, il suffit de d'aller avec le navigateur internet de votre mobile à l'adresse suivante:

ou éventuellement
http://joune.free.fr/velib/velib.jad
suivant votre téléphone..

Ca devrait être assez simple à utiliser: les stations sont regroupées par zones.. le menu permet d'ajouter une nouvelle zone, d'ajouter une nouvelle station pour la zone courante, d'afficher les stations de la zone courante pour en effacer.. on peut entrer plusieurs stations autour d'une zone.. chaque station est identifiée par, son numéro unique (qu'on peut trouver sur le site de velib) et une description personnelle..

Par exemple:

• Gare du nord
  
• 10033 (rue saint vincent de paul)
• 10028 (24 rue de dunkerque)
• 10029 (39 rue de dunkerque)
• Les Halles
• 1028 (porte berger)
• 1027 (rue berger)
• etc...

L'option "Go!" du menu, interroge le serveur central et donne le nombre de vélos disponibles et le nombre de places disponibles pour chaque station de la zone courante.

Voilà..
En esperant que vous trouverez ca pratique...
Je ne vous garanti pas qu'il n'y aura pas de bugs hein! mais bon, ca marche sur le Nokia de Vinz et sur mon LG alors ca peut vous être utile aussi... (en même temps, j'ai pas réussi à l'installer sur le Samsung de mon frangin, mais ca veut pas dire qu'il faut baisser les bras!)

Vous pouvez afficher vos doléances (ou meme vos encouragements!) en réponse à ce post.. mais je ne vous promet pas de pouvoir répondre à toutes vos attentes les plus folles!
